PLANE FUN 2002

This years event started out with a fizzle, but ended with a bang.  Saturdays weather was cloudy cool and occasional
light rain, That didn't dampen the spirits of the 160 kids who took part in the Young Eagles event.  Saturdays event
came to a close when a large hail storm moved through the area.

Sunday Weather could not have been any better. Clear skis and mild temperature greeted kids and parents alike.
Although there was a mild turn out of Homebuilts, There was not shortage of people. Here are some of the photos.

Setting up and getting ready Friday Night          Food being served up at Cafe 582          Ron giving the Young Eagles pilot Briefing          Jesiah holding a hand full of Hail that fell Saturday afternoon

Pilots waiting to see if the weather is going to clear
Sunday Morning and the weather is CAVU          Some of the Many planes that flew in on Sunday          Kids waiting their turn for the Young Eagles ride

Ribs - A lot of Wing ribs were built today          rockets - and after the ribs, they built and flew rockets          N3N Before - This is what the N3N looked like 18 years ago          And of course, this is what it looks like today

A P51 scaled replica particapated          And the Mayor of Walbridge even went for a ride
